my favorite subject was the subject it self because it taught me alot. I say this because Finance is a field closely related to accounting that deals with the allocation of assets and liabilities over time under conditions of certainty and uncertainty. Finance also applies and uses the theories of economics at some level. Finance can also be defined as the science of money management. A key point in finance is the time value of money, which states that purchasing power of one unit of currency can vary over time. Finance aims to price assets based on their risk level and their expected rate of return. Finance can be broken into three different sub-categories: public finance, corporate finance and personal finance.
There were no favorite subject for this class. We all come in contact with financial institutions and make investments. We are either writing a check, receiving a check, checking our bank balances, or using credit cards. If we make an investment decision to buy a stock that is undervalued, or sell one that is overvalued, we are making financial decisions. Expected future cash inflows and outflows affect current business financial decisions and some tools are used to make non-business financial decisions.
Great answer Ziggy! This was a great subject to me as well, I did not understand how stock and bonds function, But with the help of this course I have a better understanding.
Taking this term I have become more acknowledgeable of finance, but the course itself was a very good topic. Learning about the value of money, how to invest, and when to invest. With the inform gained from this course, I believe this will help me in my career as I purse to become a business owner.
